nDimensional Inc. Acquires Machine Learning Company NeuroDimension, Inc.

Who is nDimensional?

nDimensional empowers enterprises with AI to extract real-time business value from big data and IoT devices as an embedded component in their products and services. Their flagship product, nD, is a full stack application development Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that helps companies rapidly design, develop, deploy and operate AI, big data and IoT applications. Dr. Curt Lefebvre, the founder and CEO of nDimensional, was a co-founder of NeuroDimension in 1991 and the original architect of NeuroSolutions. After NeuroDimension, Curt went on to found NeuCo, Inc., a pioneer in industrial applications of machine learning. NeuCo was acquired by GE, and now with nDimensional, Curt is continuing with his career-long mission of bringing the power of machine learning data-driven applications to every industry.

How is this going to benefit me?

As part of nDimensional, we are bringing our 25+ years of technology, expertise and community to the nD platform. This will allow us to take everything you love about NeuroSolutions and free you from its current limitations. Here is a short list of what you can expect:

  • No Data Limits – Support for data of all shapes and sizes – from spreadsheets to big data -- megabytes to petabytes.
  • Powerful New Algorithms – Cutting-edge algorithms including random forest, deep learning and ensemble models.
  • Deeper Data Discovery – Extensive pre-processing, analysis and visualization tools to better understand and model your data.
  • Easier Collaboration – Share your datasets, models and results with colleagues, along with the visual and algorithms extensions you developed to produce them.

Over the coming months, we will be posting more information about the nD platform throughout this website with links on this page. In the meantime (and even after nD is made available), there are some things that will not change:

  • Access and support for your current NeuroDimension software will continue.
  • The same people who provided support and consulting will be available to you.
  • Customers in maintenance can expect early access to the platform.

Why did nDimensional acquire NeuroDimension?

nDimensional has an industrial strength cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) used to model and optimize very large and complex systems in the Internet-of-Things (IoT). They have been developing a self-service portal to democratize advanced analytics and machine learning for everyone. With over 25 years of experience commercializing neural networks and providing intelligent solutions to thousands of clients around the world, it was easy to see the benefit of having NeuroDimension's team, community, self-service product experience, support services, training programs and consulting services.

What do you mean by “the cloud” and why is it important?

We’re referring to the unlimited storage and processing power available in the cloud. This allows more complex algorithms and broader searches on larger datasets. For companies and researchers, the cloud also enables data and resources to be shared for increased productivity. And, when it comes time to share your results, web applications can be created to instantly share visualizations based on your results.

What if I don’t want to move to the cloud?

First, let us say that everyone’s data and processing is private only to them. You will essentially be on your own “private cloud”. However, we understand that not everyone is comfortable or capable of moving their data and processing to the cloud. nDimensional is working on an on-premises appliance for those who cannot have their data stored in the cloud, which will be available in the future.

How will this affect my current license?

Your current license will not be affected by the acquisition. It is a perpetual license that does not expire.

How will this affect my support?

It won’t! As long as you are still active in your Software Maintenance Service you can contact support any time at support@neurosolutions.com or by phone at 352.377.5144. Software Maintenance Service will continue to be offered for existing NeuroDimension products during the transition to nD.

How will this affect my billing?

It won’t! We currently do not have automated billing setup nor do we keep your credit card information on file. So any renewal of maintenance, purchases and/or upgrades will not be affected by the acquisition.
