| NeuroSolutions
is based on the concept that neural networks can be
broken down into a fundamental set of neural components.
Individually these components are relatively simplistic,
but several components connected together can result in
networks capable of solving very complex problems. By
allowing the user to arbitrarily interconnect these
components, a virtually infinite number of neural models
are possible. The "feel" of the NeuroSolutions user interface was inspired by the process of designing an electronic circuit. Electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors, are laid out on a breadboard and wired together to form a circuit. The circuit is tested by injecting signals and probing responses. NeuroSolutions provides all of the tools needed to build a neural "circuit". Neural components, such as axons, synapses, and gradient search engines, are laid out on a graphical breadboard and connected together to form a neural network. Input components are used to inject signals, and probe components are used to visualize the network's response. Most neural network software products simply offer a "black box" simulator; you are given a small number of models and a constrained set of parameters with which to configure them. There is no design phase, either their models work for your problem or they do not. NeuroSolutions, however, is a different breed of software. By treating a neural network as a collection of components, NeuroSolutions allows you to design your own neural models. |
