We are proud to announce the recent redesign of the
NeuroDimension web site. This new design makes it faster and easier to learn
about NeuroDimension products, obtain product support, and order new products.
The focal point of this new design is our innovative product
tours that take you step-by-step through everything you need to know about each
of our products. Or, if you are looking for specific information about a
product, view our helpful FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) or jump to a
specific Tour Topic. You can even learn about more about neural networks by
reading our introductory texts or the first chapter of our interactive book, Neural
and Adaptive Systems: Fundamentals Through Simulations.
Whether you are interested in artificial intelligence, want
to know more about NeuroDimension products, or are already a NeuroDimension
customer, we encourage you to visit our new web site today at www.nd.com
We successfully
completed another neural network and NeuroSolutions course in early May. It
included attendees from Canada, Singapore, Venezuela, and all over the US. We
always enjoy getting to know our customers better, especially when it gives us
a chance to discuss their applications. Once again, we received rave reviews
from our attendees, giving us an average score of 4.83 of 5 when asked to rate
the overall quality of the course. As one attendee wrote – “Excellent
course! Excellent instructors!”
The next neural network course has been scheduled for
October 21 - October 25, 2002 at the Grosvenor Resort, located in the Walt
Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. A 10% discount is available for early
registration, so be sure to register today!
Our course format allows both novice and advanced users to
find a suitable course. Offered courses include: "Introduction to
NeuroSolutions", "Fundamentals of Neural Networks and
NeuroSolutions", and "Advanced NeuroSolutions". The courses
include a copy of our interactive book, Neural and Adaptive Systems:
Fundamentals Through Simulations.

NeuroSolutions Tip Box
One common question received by
both our technical and sales staff is “Once I have trained a NeuroSolutions
neural network on my data, how do I put it into production?” Some people can
use the graphical user interface (GUI) of either NeuroSolutions or
NeuroSolutions for Excel to apply a production data set and extract the network
outputs. However, many have applications where the use of these GUIs would be
impractical. For these application developers and power users we provide three
options for embedding a NeuroSolutions neural network into a custom
application:
Code Generation
The Professional and Developers levels of NeuroSolutions allow you to
automatically generate C++ source code for your neural network. This gives you
the flexibility to customize the neural network code for your particular
application (if necessary). Since the generated code is ANSI-compliant, you can
deploy your neural network solution to other platforms such as UNIX (requires
the Source Code License product).
DLL Generation
The Custom Solution Wizard is an optional add-in product that will take a
neural network designed within NeuroSolutions and encapsulate it into a dynamic
link library (DLL) that conforms to a simple protocol. This DLL can then be
embedded into your own C++, Visual Basic, Excel, Access or Internet (ASP)
application. The key advantage to this approach is that you don't need to be an
advanced programmer to use it.
OLE Automation
This technology gives you the ability to programmatically control
NeuroSolutions from any external application that supports Automation, such as
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and applications you develop with Visual
Basic or Visual C++. In the simplest case, you could send NeuroSolutions the
data to process, tell it to begin processing, then retrieve the results into
your application. But because of its extensive protocol, NeuroSolutions could
be instructed to do much more complex tasks. Any series of operations that you
would normally be required to do manually can instead be performed
programmatically using Automation. NeuroSolutions even has a built-in macro
recorder that can automatically create the Visual Basic code that corresponds
to the actions you take within the NeuroSolutions interface, significantly decreasing
the amount of code you would need to write manually.
