"Our vision for NeuroDimension is to cultivate a think-tank consisting of the brightest minds from a variety of disciplines, to bring creative solutions to industries. Our philosophy is to provide outstanding individuals with an environment that will allow them to pursue their ideas with a minimum of administrative interference. We aim to be among the first to bring revolutionary new technology from the laboratory to the market-place, and have a lot of fun doing it."

NeuroDimension, Inc. was founded in 1991, in Gainesville, Florida, by medical and computer engineering specialists whose original goal was to develop software tools that would improve their own efficiency and productivity. Since that time, NeuroDimension, Inc. has assembled an exceptional team of research innovators, software design engineers and technicians encompassing an extended knowledge of the computer sciences.

NeuroDimension's first product, NeuroSolutions v1.0 for NEXTSTEP, was released in 1994. Due to the limited market of this operating system, the software was then ported to Microsoft Windows. NeuroSolutions v2.0 for Windows was introduced the summer of 1995. Since that time there have been numerous enhancements and several new products, resulting in continuous sales growth.

NeuroDimension was founded by three very gifted individuals:

Steven Reid, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the president of NeuroDimension, Inc. He is a board certified neurosurgeon specializing in surgical treatment of epilepsy. His favorite operations involve mapping the brain's electrical and functional activities. These lengthy and delicate procedures frequently include direct electrical stimulation of the patient's brain while the patient is awake and under local anesthesia. Dr. Reid is also responsible for the management of business activities for a busy neurosurgical practice.

Dr. Reid received his M.D. with Honors for research in neurophysiology in 1979. His academic titles include Clinical Assistant Professor of NeuroSurgery and Neuroscience, and he has had a special appointment to the doctoral faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Florida. He has completed NASA space shuttle flight surgeon training and provides medical support at the Kennedy Space Center during space shuttle launch and landing operations.

Jose C. Principe, Ph.D. is the vice president of NeuroDimension, Inc. and directs the research and development of the company's software products. He has received Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and is presently a professor at the University of Florida, teaching electrical engineering as well as graduate courses in Adaptive Signal Processing and Neural Networks. Dr. Principe is the director of the Computational NeuroEngineering Laboratory which is part of U.F.'s Brain Institute. The lab has been funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, National Institute of Health, Advanced Research Program Agency, and the State of Florida.

Dr. Principe's interests are centered in the modeling and design of adaptive systems. Early in his career he was exposed to human neurophysiology, advanced mathematics and computer algorithms. He built one of the first microcomputer based systems to detect and quantify brain waves in real time, both during epilepsy and sleep. He is an extremely active researcher in the area of dynamic neural network modeling and has proposed a new model for the processing of real time varying signals with neural networks. Dr. Principe views NeuroDimension as the natural extension of his professional efforts, enabling him to transfer technology from the research environment to the commercial sector.

Curt Lefebvre, Ph.D. founded and managed NeuroDimension from 1991 until 1996. Curt is the principal author of NeuroDimension's core product, NeuroSolutions. Although still active in an advisory capacity, Curt moved on to found and manage NeuCo, Inc. (www.NeuCo.net). Prior to NeuroDimension, Curt spent over six years with IBM, most recently at IBM's research center in Yorktown Heights, New York. Curt holds a PhD, MS and BS in Electrical Engineering.
